From around March to December each year the mating season of the green sea turtles begins. It gets quite frantic here in the water and this scene was no different. I was watching the tide come in as a tired female was laying in the shallow waters waiting to be taken away by the tide. The water levels started to rise rapidly as the sun was dropping when out of nowhere a male appeared and started to make advances towards her. Shortly after an even larger male came into the scene and fought off the smaller male. This shot of their intimacy was taken a few moments after that.
